233 Quilt As You Go Potholder Table Topper – Leah Newitt

Description: This table topper is an easy scrap buster project. It is a quilt as you go project, so when you are done, you are done! You can even use your batting scraps for this project. Once you learn this technique, you will be able to use it on a quilt of your choosing

FABRIC
Batting- 9 - 10” squares,
Fabrics for each block, you will need nine 9-inch blocks (I used five 9-inch blocks from a Halloween panel fabric called Jeepers Creepers, Spooky Halloween picture Panel Gorgeous Eerie Creepy Design by Dan Morris, 31008-J Black, OC1R3, 36 x 43 panel.)
Then I made four 9-inch checkerboard blocks.
If you are making the checkerboard blocks you will need two 1 ½ inch by WOF light colored fabric strips and two 1 ½” by WOF dark colored fabric for each block
Binding eight 1.5” strips by WOF
Backing for each block – nine 10-inch squares.
Bring any extra fabric to class
